- Do you want to be scammed? Of course the answer is no. No one wants to be scammed and the main way to avoid it is to see the item before you buy it. You can learn a large amount of information from the actual ad, but the best way to know what you are buying is to see it with your own eyes. This will allow you to inspect every detail and determine if it’s exactly what you are looking for or not. - This does have one disadvantage though, safety! You must always meet someone in a public place. Somewhere where there are lots of people frequently around like a mall or Wal-Mart parking lot and it’s not just you and the seller. If the buyer will not agree to this, than you should definitely not be doing business with this person. Also, always tell someone where you are going to meet someone and for what reason. Safety is always more important than whatever item you are hoping to purchase!
